Generations of Chapin is locally owned and managed by Generations. Our management team, constituted of a residential care facility administrator, has over 100 years of experience in the long term care of the older adult.

 

Support Services Available

Residents have direct access to the dining room where three nutritious meals, planned by a registered dietitian, are served daily. Nutritious snacks are also a part of each day.

 

A trained staff on duty 24 hours every day is available to assist residents with dressing, grooming, medicine, and other activities of daily living, allowing for continued functioning at a residential care level.

 

Chapin Family Practice, Urgent Care, Pinner Clinic in Peak provides local medical care. Lexington Medical Center Urgent Care in Chapin is just minutes away for advanced medical needs. For hospitalization, Columbia’s four major hospitals are easily and quickly accessible (Lexington Medical, Prisma Parkridge, Prisma Richland, and Baptist Hospital)

Generations of Chapin partners with Gateway Medical and SC House Calls to offer healthcare services that bring the convenience of a traditional doctor's office visit directly to the comfort of the patient's home.

 

Assisted Living at Generations of Chapin 

Generations of Chapin commits itself to care for the older adult at the assisted residential care level. Generations of Chapin provides both private and semiprivate rooms with a choice to the resident for decoration with their furnishings.

 

Generations of Chapin recognizes when and how to assist each resident while encouraging them to remain independent. Generations of Chapin’s staff work with the residents and their families, along with their physicians and other health care providers, to develop an individualized written care plan.

Our personal care is an alternative to the expensive institutionalized nursing home. We offer a home like atmosphere replete with dignified richness and grace without the burden of escalating home maintenance and repair costs.

 

Activities at Generations of Chapin 

For those residents who like the active life there is much to do at Generations of Chapin. Weekly movies, exercise sessions, birthday parties, holiday festivities, religious services, walks, and gardening are just some of the activities provided. Current books and magazines are provided. Of course, all residents have the opportunity to participate in as many activities as they like. Individualized personal transportation can be provided by the staff, and transportation for scheduled off campus trips and activities will be provided.
