Cinema Gallery
Open 24/7, this room is designed to make movie watching an experience to remember.   Feel free, when the room has no scheduled events, to use the room for movie watching or entertaining.

Grand Room
The stone fireplace and grand piano make this “Grand” room a favorite for all.  Please enjoy sitting by the fire or listening to the player piano.  A vast number of sitting areas provide a place for everyone

 

Dining Room 
The dining room was designed to provide a natural setting for excellent food service.  The Veranda is an addition for your “outdoor” dining experience.  Dining times are posted and observed daily.  Feel free to use the Veranda area for your own personal use and enjoyment other than the regular meal times.  You may see the Activities Director to request the Veranda for private dining parties and family events.  

 

The Beverage Center
The center is open 24 hours a day.  Ice and drinks are also available to quench your thirst.  

 

Beauty/Barber Shop
On site hair care and services are available.  These services are provided at additional charges.  Our beautician will assist you with hours of services and rates.

 

Safety
“Safe” Outdoor recreational Areas: Generations of Irmo provides common courtyards for residents to enjoy the outdoor surroundings.  These courtyards are open for use 24 hours a day.  Outdoor furnishings are provided and maintained for resident use.  Each resident room has a small patio which is also accessible 24 hours a day Family and Visitors:  Families may visit at any time.  Please be mindful of other residents when visiting hours are late or early in the morning.  Upon admission, you will receive the code to the outside doors.  The code should be given out to close family members only.  They may enter the facility at any time with this code.  Other guest or friends should ring the doorbell for 

 

Recreational Activities
Our full time activity director and family liaison plans a variety of recreational, spiritual, and educational programs.  Monthly calendars are created and handed out to all residents.  These calendars display the activity and the time for your choice of participation.  Families and friends are encouraged to participate with your loved ones in any area of interest  

 

Medical and First Aid Services
If, at any time, you feel under the weather and in need of medical care, please let the direct care staff be aware.  Every effort will be made to assist you in obtaining proper medical care as soon as possible.  The facility is equipped with first aid care and supplies, should small incidents/accidents occur.  The facility will administer all resident medications and keep all medications under lock at all times.  The only exception to this is the resident who has been evaluated and deemed able to self-administer his/her own medications, both over the counter and prescription.  

 

Private Duty Companions/Sitters
Generations of Irmo offers in the event the need for a sitter or private duty companion arises.  The resident or family may contact Care by Generations. This agency is bonded, insured and is covered by Worker’s Compensation, and is available to the resident 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

 

Television & Internet Services
Generations of Irmo is wired for cable television service and high speed internet use. .  Cable viewing is available in the Cinema Room, and internet service is available in the Grand room. Internet charge for in room is $30 a month.

 

Emergency Pendants
Generations of Irmo offers emergency pendants to all of our residents.  The pendant can be worn and will be an added safety feature.  The pendant, when pressed will alert the staff to respond to your needs in the location that you are present in the building.

 

Pets & Special Friends
Generations of Irmo welcomes family member of all kinds.  Many of us know the special bond that our four legged friends hold in our hearts.  While you may share your life with a special furry friend, please be courteous of those around you who may not share that same bond.
